linz.irc.at - ipv6

News

July 23rd, 2006 - Just a short note: people with volja.si/volja.net addresses can NO LONGER apply for ipv6 I-lines. This is due to your stupid internet provider rejecting mails from our I-line robot (message: "Client host rejected: Access denied"). Please complain to your ISP.
November 14th, 2005 - No longer accepting I-line requests from BTexact tunnels due to persistent abuse.
May 29th, 2005 - Due to an ircd upgrade all 3ffe-addresses are now also being resolved via ip6.arpa.

Basic rules (ipv6)

It is YOUR fault if your users perform abusive actions. "Kline only his ident!" is not what we will do.
Clients reconnecting even though they get an error message will be automatically filtered per-ip or per-range.
We resolve using ip6.arpa for all ranges.

Connection limits

I-lines are now put by default in a connection class allowing 5 connections PER RANGE (default).
You will get the following message when connecting if your range has exceeded the allocated connection limit: Too many connections.
Note: This message comes a few seconds after the usual redirect to other servers.
If you need more, you can get it increased to 12 or 20 per range. We will offer a special web interface where you can request these changes - but you have to give a really, REALLY good reason..
